The Bitter Root Water Forum holds their monthly Board meetings on the second Monday of each month from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m.  The locations vary between Stevensville and Hamilton and the public is welcome.  Contact the BRWF for more information.

 
The Bitterroot Conservation District holds their meetings at 8:00 PM on the 2nd and last Tuesday of each month at their office - 1709 North First Street, Hamilton.
 
The Bitter Root Chapter Trout Unlimited holds their member meetings on the 3rd Tuesday of each month, generally at 7:00 PM at the Hamilton Elks Lodge, 203 State Street.  The meetings are open to the public and there is no charge for admission.
 
The Clark Fork River Basin Task Force meets on the first Monday of each month from 9:30 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. at the Mountain Water Company Conference Room, 1345 West Broadway, Missoula. More information can be obtained from Gerald Mueller, Process Manager, gmueller@montana.com

Jul 17 - Fifth Annual Bitterroot River Floating Weed Pull - Organized by the Ravalli County Weed District.  Meet at the shuttle pick up point between 8:00-8:45 a.m. to begin float at 9:00 a.m. Float from Hamilton Bridge to Woodside Crossing.  Enjoy a day floating the scenic Bitterroot River while enhancing the river ecosystem. Lunch is offered and $1,750 worth of prizes are given away following the float. Register with Melissa 777-5842 to get shuttle details.  Space is limited by number of rafts available. 

Sep 11 - Annual Bitterroot River Cleanup sponsored by Bitter Root Water Forum, Bitter Root Trout Unlimited, Fly Fishers of the Bitterroot, Ravalli Cnty Fish & Wildlife Assn, Hamilton Kiwanis, and many local businesses.  Cleanup scheduled from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. followed by a rockin' barbeque at Anglers Roost.  Call Don McGourty 363-3146 for more information.
